Jeremy Chung has over 20 years of experience in various entertainment, media and communication industry. Based in Seoul, South Korea, Jeremy is developing various projects for Empire Entertainment.
Jeremy started his career at Warner Music Korea where he was responsible for international pop music marketing as a label manager. Jeremy was in charge of various European and Asian labels within Warner Music Group and among the artists he developed popularity in Korea includes Enya, Phil Collins, Mike Oldfield, Vangelis, Johnny Logan, Everything But The Girl, London Boys, Simply Red, Jason Donovan, Kylie Minogue, Louis Miguel, Electronic!, Nick Kamen, Chris Rea, Thomas Anders(Modern Talking), INXS and so on.
After working at Warner, Jeremy moved his career to Hyundai Business Group’s Hyundai Electronics (now Hynix semiconductors) where he was in charge of new media product marketing.
In 1995, he joined the Diamond advertising (Hyundai Business Group’s former in-house agency, now a part of WPP group of companies) where he was in charge of foreign feature film acquisitions. Jeremy and his colleagues at the acquisition team connected business between both Hollywood and European film companies including Warner Bros., Miramax and Studio Canal+. In 2000, Jeremy moved to Global Promotion team as the general manager, and worked with key clients such as Hyundai Electronics (mobile phone business division), Hyundai Heavy Industries, Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors and Governmental Organizations.
After having more than 10 years of work experience at Hyundai Business Group, Jeremy joined a Paris based Outdoor advertising company as the Korea representative. Jeremy worked to develop both inbound and outbound projects.
Jeremy also worked for media industries such as TV program production and performing arts for many years. Jeremy’s most recent career was his position as the new business development director at Iconix Entertainment (one of the most respected animation companies in Korea).
Jeremy has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and he is fluent in spoken and written Korean and English.
