When an international financial services group held their annual conference in Monte Carlo, Monaco, they sought a musical entertainer with sophistication and class to headline their entertainment evening. Diana Ross was booked by the event production company, 4PM Events, and Empire Entertainment was secured to coordinate production and logistics and to stage manage the event. The event was held at the world-renowned Sporting Club and featured cocktails in the gardens, a seated dinner, a headline comedy performance by Gilbert Gottfried, and fireworks immediately followed by a concert performance by Diana Ross.

Miss Ross and her band performed many of her hits spanning her entire career including "I'm Coming Out," "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", ‘Upside Down' , ‘‘You Can't Hurry Love', ‘Baby Love', ‘Stop! In The Name Of Love', ‘Someday We'll Be Together' and ‘Back In My Arms Again' among others. The crowd was up and dancing through much of the 75 minute performance and Diana Ross brought a child of one of the attendees onstage with her to dance and sing during one of her numbers. The audience gave her a standing ovation and brought her back for an encore. After the concert performance, Diana Ross held a meet & greet with VIP attendees and took photos with all of them. For this international production, Empire coordinated logistics and all production arrangements with the band and crew and Sporting Club, and also provided onsite stage management of the entire evening.

When companies want to present world class talent in international locations, they turn to Empire to ensure a professionally-produced event.

A modern event space decorated with greenery, featuring sleek tables and chairs with a Microsoft Connect() sign.

Guests received their first taste of technological innovation at registration, where they were welcomed by name on a reactive LED screen installation covering the full width of the entry wall. A large lunch café was created with a décor scheme that incorporated custom-built, ceiling-high steel LED frames draped with foliage to create smaller, intimate restaurant-style spaces that displayed both technology and nature.

A series of breakout sessions presented content targeted to attendees’ varied interests, while imagery displayed throughout the venue showcased real-life applications of how products designed to empower developers help to unleash the power of data and reimagine possibilities that will improve our world.

Every element of Microsoft Connect(); from registration, breakfast and keynote, to lunch and evening cocktails, were custom-designed to communicate exacting brand messaging and to deliver a high-touch guest experience to this important audience. The keynote and breakout sessions were livestreamed through an onsite studio built for this purpose and content was watched online by millions around the world.

Empire is proud to collaborate with Microsoft on this annual, top-tier business communication event.
