For the first project, Empire worked in conjunction with one of it's European partners, General Entertainment, to deliver the World-renowned German heavy metal superstar band The Scorpions to perform in Shillong, India as part of their first ever-tour in India. The concert was an amazing success. Estimated attendance at the concert event was more than 28,000 people.

Logistically there were many challenges to be overcome that just added to the events success. E18 managed to move 25 tons of sound, lighting & trussing pulled together from five different vendors to this remote part of North East India. Equipment had to be transported via various forms of transportation including trucks from Cochin and Delhi, a plane from Mumbai and three trains from Delhi. The concert generated a huge amount of media coverage. Print media in major India cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata called the event the Largest Concert ever in India!!! MSN India wrote: "Scorpions leaves Shillong dazzled - Thousands of fans danced and sang themselves to frenzy as the legendary heavy metal band Scorpions gave a high voltage performance before a packed stadium in Shillong, India's 'rock capital'. An estimated 30,000 people thronged the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in state's capital as the German heavy metal group belted out their all-time hits and classics for close to two hours in the temperature that stayed in a single digit."India is a leading developing market for entertainment & events and Empire is proud to be a partner with E18, experienced with many years of projects in that region.
