To celebrate 100th anniversary year of Brazil-Japan relationship, sponsor Nichirei Acerola presented "Aoyama Brazilian Week" at Omotesando Hills, the most fashionable retail center in Tokyo.Nicheri Acerola is a producer of beverages, and, because they import most of their product from Brazil, they sought to promote their brand in Japan using the imagery of contemporary Brazilian culture rather than the old standards of football and Samba. The event would also help to promote the newly-repackaged Acerola Drink throughout the week. Working with the advertising agency partners, Dentsu and Drill, Empire Japan planned a major press release event at Omotesando Hills that featured a Brazilian art exhibition and daily live Bossa Nova performances.

On the special day of press release, Empire also produced a Brazilian Fashion show on a scale never before attempted in Omotesando Hills. Empire delivered the 2007 Miss Universe #1 and #2 champions, Riyo Mori and Natalia Guimaraes, to join the show as special guests.Throughout the week, Empire surpassed the client's expectations and facilitated massive attention from Japanese media.Empire was responsible for creation of the overall concept, talent booking, event design, lighting, sound, scripting and full production of the event. Empire also supported our client and partner agencies with outreach to press and managed press interviews with Riyo Mori and Natalia Guimaraes.

Empire is a leading producer of creative, cross cultural events in Japan and Asia.

A modern event space decorated with greenery, featuring sleek tables and chairs with a Microsoft Connect() sign.

Guests received their first taste of technological innovation at registration, where they were welcomed by name on a reactive LED screen installation covering the full width of the entry wall. A large lunch café was created with a décor scheme that incorporated custom-built, ceiling-high steel LED frames draped with foliage to create smaller, intimate restaurant-style spaces that displayed both technology and nature.

A series of breakout sessions presented content targeted to attendees’ varied interests, while imagery displayed throughout the venue showcased real-life applications of how products designed to empower developers help to unleash the power of data and reimagine possibilities that will improve our world.

Every element of Microsoft Connect(); from registration, breakfast and keynote, to lunch and evening cocktails, were custom-designed to communicate exacting brand messaging and to deliver a high-touch guest experience to this important audience. The keynote and breakout sessions were livestreamed through an onsite studio built for this purpose and content was watched online by millions around the world.

Empire is proud to collaborate with Microsoft on this annual, top-tier business communication event.
