For the second year in a row, Empire produced ContextMedia: Health’s Fall AgencyParty at the IAC Building in New York City. Completed in 2007 by architect Frank Gehry, the IAC Buildingfeatured the world’s largest HD screen at the time in its lobby,where the event was held. Guests mingled and danced while engaging withContextMedia’s digital platforms throughout the space.

ContextMedia is a health information services company which builds digital media technologies to deliver lifestyle education to patientsto improve health outcomes. The company empowers healthcare professionals toengage patients while curating content personalized for each member office. Itis the fastest-growing company in the industry, offering sector-leadingtechnology to their customers.

Upon arrival, guests werewelcomed by the IAC’s massive 120 feet video wall, which displayed digitalcontext throughout the night. They were also greeted by an interactive mediacolumn that allowed guests to use the technology first hand and customize theirexperience.

Among these installationswas a seated photo booth, digital graffiti wall, and customized Snapchat filter.Once guests took photos, they could share them in real time to their socialmedia accounts with #CreatewithCMH via the interactive custom-designed sharingstation. Guests could also draw images on the digital graffiti wall that appeared on the media wall that spanned the entire lobby.

Entertainment for the nightwas provided by DJ PS1, a native New Yorker with a passion for deejaying andmusic production. DJ PS1 has spun at some of New York City’s top night clubsincluding Cain, Pink Elephant, Marquee, and Avenue. At 18, he embarked on anationwide tour and hasn’t stopped since.

Guests received their first taste of technological innovation at registration, where they were welcomed by name on a reactive LED screen installation covering the full width of the entry wall. A large lunch café was created with a décor scheme that incorporated custom-built, ceiling-high steel LED frames draped with foliage to create smaller, intimate restaurant-style spaces that displayed both technology and nature.

A series of breakout sessions presented content targeted to attendees’ varied interests, while imagery displayed throughout the venue showcased real-life applications of how products designed to empower developers help to unleash the power of data and reimagine possibilities that will improve our world.

Every element of Microsoft Connect(); from registration, breakfast and keynote, to lunch and evening cocktails, were custom-designed to communicate exacting brand messaging and to deliver a high-touch guest experience to this important audience. The keynote and breakout sessions were livestreamed through an onsite studio built for this purpose and content was watched online by millions around the world.
